"Fun, but...."
June 2021
My kiddos wanted the coasters... my husband and I went on this vacation fully prepared to spend the extra cash to eat at the park. That didn't really happen and not because things were too expensive (although they are). It was because there was literally nothing open! There were very few places open to eat so the places that were open had a 45 minute wait to get through lines! We were there on a 95 degree day and not even the dippin' dots places were open! I'm sure it's because they were short handed (apparently everyone in Pigeon Forge is hiring) and caused enormous backups in the food lines. If you're not looking to eat there, you're probably good, but even a majority of shops and such were closed due to no one working. The lines for the coasters were about like you'd see anywhere I would expect. Some were 5 minute waits, some were 50 minute waits and the Lightning Rod at one point had a 170 minute wait. I expect that was because it was having problems the 2 days we were there and would keep closing back down so when it opened everyone wanted in the line. They have great coasters and the staff was very friendly though so that's a plus. Overall we would do it again, but would be better prepared on the food situation (there is a hiring sign in EVERY BUSINESS in Pigeon Forge so it's not just here). Trams will bring you in and out in a timely fashion, however you may make it walking in faster as they tend to fill pretty quickly at opening times. Again, overall great experience and one I'm glad we did on our vacation.

"Great fun!"
January 2020
We were able to visit near the end of the season and we had a great time. It wasn't overly crowded and we didn't have to wait long to ride the rides we wanted to. The Christmas lights and decor were amazing. The staff was extremely helpful. It's been years since my last visit to Dollywood and it was a great time. I will definitely be back in the near future with the entire family.
